Schwager Saga 1958-2000
My grandmother, Pat wrote this a few years back. I'm grateful she did because I love knowing things like this. And I only have one hard copy, so I thought I'd transfer it to the computer so I can always have it!
So grab a cup of coffee and enjoy some family history.
"Patricia & Dale Schwager (my paternal grandparents) were married on August 7th, 1958 by Rev. Hunter at Mizpah Presbyterian Church. We lived in Parkrose on NE Skidmore ST in Portland Oregon. Dale carried mail out of East Portland Post Office and Pat taught first grade at Prescott School in Parkrose. In December we bought their first home at 6105 N Atlantic (for $8,000 I think!) We moved in Memorial Day weekend of 1959. Carol and David Colcord lived with them that summer. Pat learned how to can fruit that summer. Revamped Shoes
I found these cute wedges for $8 at Target. But they were plain, just completely tan colored suede. So I got two different colors of fabric and some fabric glue, and went to town. Got some tan fabric with small white polka dots, and for the inside I got black fabric with larger white polka dots.

News
So I don't really have anything too exciting to say. Today I'll be cleaning, packing, and doing some administration.
This past week I did some church, made some jewelry, went shopping down Hawthorne with Allecia, re-vamped some shoes ((pics to follow soon)) and now I'm getting ready for a trip to the beach with my Mom, Dad, brother and his friend.
I'm excited to go! Here's a pic from the last time I went to the same hotel with my family. 2006 I think.
