Day Twenty Five: Something Pink

Yesterday was my lovely sister-in-law's birthday. So we took a walk. It was great. Perfect weather.

Also, It was a braid kind of day!

Glitter Those Suckers Up

Shoes need a makeover? Well some mod podge, spray adhesive, and some glitter can save the day!!!

It's quite self explanitory really, just take some mod podge on a sponge and cover your shoes. Pile on the glitter. Shake off any excess. Fill in any gaps with more glue and glitter.

Press glue down with your hands. And finish off with a spray adhesive. Hair spray works too.

And there you have it. Practically new shoes. I used suede shoes, because that's what I had. But I think any shoes will do.

I don't have the best of cameras. But that's okay. I can make do with what I've got. And this bokeh app allows you to change the shape. LOVE it!!!

Day Nineteen: Something Orange

I couldn't find anything orange today, that sparked my interest. So I chose this wall I painted in Shane's old office, when we lived in Hermiston. I like his clear "white board" from Ikea and the clock from Target;-)

Most of you may not know that orange is in fact, my favorite color. I just don't have a lot of it clothing wise, because hardly anything every comes in orange. Sigh. Oh well. I'm also obsessed with yellow lately too.

Pattern 101

So I just thought this would be a nice informative post to show you all the difference between patterns. (Especially when pertaining to fabrics) I'm sure you have seen most all of these, but I think many of you don't know that they all have names. Except for the most common: plaid and checkered. I think most folks tend to call every square pattern plaid or checkered. And argygle is usually just known as being called "golf or tennis sweater" pattern. LOL. Anyway, not that you really needed to know this, I just thought it would be fun.

Day Eighteen: Shoes

Now, If I were actually to sit and photograph ALL my shoes, we would probably be here all day. So I decided to do these two pairs.

Just quite simple shoes from target. Both suede. You can't really tell, but the nude ones are wedges. $20/ea, I think.

And at XXI (forever 21) I got this clips. I think it was about $6 for all four of them.

And of course, they don't only have to be worn on your shoe. I am sure most people wear them elsewhere. LOL.

I'm not sure Id wear it this way, but I like the idea.

Day Seventeen: Technology

Here it is. The phone, the camera, the zune + it's speaker, and the laptop. I obviously use my phone the most, second it's probably the Zune. I am ALWAYS listening to music, thirdly, but not far behind would be the Mac. I like to surf the web, and edit pics and such. Lastly, and there is no doubt about that, it's the camera. I take a lot of pics, but it's mostly with my phone since it takes better pictures. Really the only time I use the camera is when I'm at an amusement park or something, when I'm afraid of dropping my phone.

When I got my first flip phone I put a skull and crossbone sticker on it, so hence it became named Davy Jones. Then I got my first Zune and named it Barbossa. Just because you're supposed to name your devices when you plug them in. So they just stuck around. The other two got names just cuz they're also electronics. Of course, the laptop is also Shane's so I don't really call it Captain Morgan. LOL. And the amp that's connected to the Zune is not really a self sustaining electronic, so I didn't feel the need to name it.

Yes, I am weird.

GLITTER

Some people have an obsession with cats, some with electronics, mine is with GLITTER. Haha,.

Of course I am ecstatic about these shoes I got for my birthday. I know, it's not for another month, but when I called up Nordstrom they said they were probably getting rid of them in a week or so. So, obviously you can see that I HAD to get them now. LOL. I would've tried to find them cheaper, but they only other place I found them was J. Crew, and well, you know how that ended. And for some reason I like these loafers way better than ballet flats.

I am so doing this when we have our own place again. Maybe I'll hang it in our little girl's room, when we have one. I think Shane would like that better, as opposed to in our room. LOL.
